Top Shelf Preserves Sriracha Garlic Scapes

Garlic scapes are the flowering shoots of hardneck garlic. We trim the scapes and pickle the tender shoots in a pickle brine accented with Sriracha and chilis. They are low-medium spicy, less hot than their Spicy Pickled Carrots.

Top Shelf purchases their garlic scapes every year from Silver Spring Farm, an initiative of the Ottawa-Carleton Association for Persons with Developmental Disabilities (OCAPDD).
