Gusano Salt

Gusano Salt is an artisanal seasoning from Oaxaca, crafted by maguey farmers and mezcal distillers Xochtil and Temo.

Made from finely ground salt, two types of charcoal-grilled chilies, and comal-roasted maguey caterpillars, this blend offers a tangy, umami-rich flavor. Perfect for adding depth to vegetables, enhancing crunchy crudités with lime, or seasoning corn and squash.

It also makes a unique rim for Mezcal and Tequila cocktails or Micheladas. For a traditional touch, try dipping orange slices into Gusano Salt for a burst of authentic Oaxacan taste.
