Join sommelier Craig Haynes for a themed evening of guided tasting that will change the way you choose, pour, and pair wine at home.
Three rounds, three destinations. We begin in Bordeaux, where the rules were written — then cross to Buenos Aires, where they were cheerfully rewritten. We finish with bubbles, because the evening deserves them.
This is not a lecture, and it is not about chemistry. Craig pours nine wines — three rounds of three, roughly an ounce each, about two glasses over the evening. For each wine: where it is from, a couple of things worth knowing, and what to serve it with. Practical, approachable, and genuinely enjoyable.
You are welcomed with a sparkler from our own shelves, and fresh bread is served alongside the wine throughout — because wine tastes like itself when there is something to eat with it.
Everything poured is something you can go out and buy locally afterward. That is the point. You leave with a list, not just a memory — we send it to you a day or two later, along with where to find each bottle.

About Craig Haynes. Craig Haynes is a director with the National Capital Sommelier Guild, through which he regularly leads tastings, and has been an instructor in the sommelier program at Algonquin College in Ottawa. He holds the Wine & Spirit Education Trust Level 3 Certificate in Wine with merit, as well as the Wine Scholar Guild’s French Wine Scholar with honours, Italian Wine Scholar with highest honours, and Spanish Wine Scholar with highest honours, and the Expert level certification from Champagne Education.
